In the Main Series, it was a running joke between Jared and Tanner to crush each other with anvils. Jared had the idea to make a flat world made entirely out of anvils whilst trying to survive, and streamed it to Tanner. They had the idea to create a world like this together, and stream it.

The series cancellation is due to a few events, but it was not intentional. The series started to be inactive after Tanner focused on preparing for the Main Series Finale. After the finale had happened, the habit of playing on the server did not return, and the main server continued to be played on rather than The Anvil Series. It became more forgotten until the world hadn't been played on for 3 months, and was likely automatically deleted by Aternos around March 21st, 2025. Tanner realized this too late. resulting in the world being gone, and thus, the series too.
